Welcome to the NASA Life Sciences Program Tasks and Bibliography for FY 1999 (FY99 Task Book). Please read the Introduction for more general information regarding the Task Book. For a summary of metrics, try the Task Summary, PI Distribution Map, and Research Task Distribution Map. A list of the Principal Investigators is also available. Each entry has a direct link to the PI's email address. Overall specialized summaries of NASA Centers of Research and Training (NSCORTs) are also available. In addition, an Acronym List and a list of all Life Science Projects are also provided.

Search Capabilities:
Entries in the FY99 Task Book can be selected through several search criteria:

If searching for multiple values within a single search field (e.g., monitoring center either ARC or JSC), the search uses the Boolean operator OR. Therefore, with this example, all projects monitored by either ARC and JSC will be listed. If a combination of search fields is specified, the search uses the Boolean operator AND across fields. For example, if you choose Biomedical Research and Countermeasures within the Program search field and Mir within the Flight Mission/Program field, only those BR&C projects flown on Mir will be listed.
